                                  - apple chips

apple anything you name it I will have probably either made it or its on the menu to make!

I have been busting out my fall/winter boots and wearing them as much as I can, same with my sweaters since I wont be needing them in Haiti.

I am having my birthday party this saturday. A progressive dinner. with Italian food and wine : ) yummy. with appetizers at our house, entrees at my friend Janelles house, then dessert & cheese at Kristens & Rachels house (everyone lives on the same street) I am so excited to cook as Holly and I have bought some yummy cheeses and I am making pesto bruchetta and olive tapenade! we also got cinnamon pear balsamic vinegar! I CANT WAIT to spend a night with the amazing women that God has brought into my life through my sister!

I cant believe I have been alive on this earth for 23 years!!

---> One of these birthdays I will have a little mermaid party : ) <----

Had a date with Anna, we went to a place called Kalidescope where ya get to do tons of crafts. We went to Noodles & Company then what is a date without ice cream. Anna made a delicious concoction of vanilla frozen yogurt, oreos, m&ms, chocolate chips & sprinkles. She is growing up so fast and she has such an amazing heart that is on fire for God. I love hearing her recite the verses that she has memorized or telling what she learned at Kids club every tuesday. She has such an exciting life ahead of her and I cant wait to see how God molds her into His daughter.

~ I have been volunteering with Mission Adelante every tuesday for their Kids Club. I have all the 1st graders. They are pretty amazing. With beautiful smiles and big hugs. Its a crazy night full of singing, dancing & learning about the Bible.

Next week I will be flying to Florida to visit Jordan & Brandy, two amazing ladies who love the Lord with all their heart. God brought us all into each others lives in Haiti this summer and what amazing friendships that were created. I am so excited to see where God brings them in the future and how He will use both of them for expanding His Kingdom here on earth. They have enormous hearts and such a passion for serving others. This will be a wonderful weekend as we are getting new ink, attending a gala, eating frozen yogurt, taking long glorious walks & lots of girl talk and girl time : )

The day after I get back from Florida I will be getting right back on a plane and flying to San Diego to visit family! My mom will be meeting me there : ) We will be spending time walking along the beach, picking walnuts up at my grandmas house in Chino, playing with my niece and nephew, and soaking up the beautiful California sun & salty air.

I am heading back to Haiti November 19th, my dad is going to come down and move me in : ) so thankful to have supportive family and especially a father that the Lord has put Haiti as a desire in His heart as well!

Dont know how I am going to pack everything but I know the Lord will make it all fit.

Cant wait for everyone to join me in this new adventure.

I have been reading Daniel and I am learning to ask for Wisdom from God and what it truly means to be wise. That when we are consistently looking to the Lord for direction and understanding that He will reveal more of our hearts to us. There is a lot the Lord is teaching me and I am asking for wisdom for when I move to Haiti, in dealing with situations, relationships with Haitians, learning Creole & everything new that will come into my life there. Being persistent in always showing God in every part of our being is what I am striving for when in Haiti so that everyone God brings into my life they will be able to see this light that is in me.

" When Arioch, the commander of the king's guard, came to kill them, Daniel handled the situation with wisdom and discretion.' Daniel 2:14

Wisdom is more then knowledge; it is the ability to make the right decision in confusing circumstances. God will give us wisdom if we ask.

Wisdom is knowing when to ask, listen & obey. To always know the Lord has control.

" For the Lord grants wisdom! From His mouth come knowledge and understanding. He grants a treasure of common sense to the honest. He is a shield to those who walk with integrity, He gaurds teh path of the just and protects those who are faithful to Him. Then you will understand what is right, just and fair, and you will find the right way to go. For wisdom will enter you rheart, and nowledge will fill you with joy. Wise choices will watch over you. Understanding will keep you safe." Proverbs 2:6-11

LOVE THROUGH ME.

I ask God to do just that.

In Christ's Love,
Emily Elizabeth
